Meet the Guys

Sound  & Stage Tech.

Wes began learning music and playing in bands from the age of 14.  In the late 1960ís Wes played throughout the Chicagoland area with a number of groups (The Rivera's, The Bare Facts, The Riddlers, The Noblemen, and more).  With some of these groups Wes had some important experience performing with some of the greats in popular music like James Brown, Eric Clapton, Tommy James, The Buckinghams, The Turtles and more.  In 1968 Wesís band, The Bare Facts, recorded two hit singles at Universal Recording Studio's in Chicago.

Although his musical tastes and experience is quite varied, Wes has always identified with the bass guitar as the basis for and the driving force behind the sound of todayís country music.  Wes joined Ernie Givens and the White Lies Band as the band was preparing to go on the road.  Working hard to promote the group, Wes has helped the group to develop and progress into a stronger and more committed organization.

Outside of the band, Wes is a businessman in the northern Indiana area.  He has worked in materials management and manufacturing operations, owns his own business and is active in local government, the school board and community events.  He also enjoys riding his horses on his ranch in northwest Indiana.

Wes is quite the comedian and helps keep everyone upbeat on stage and off.  He sings lead vocals, backup and harmony across the complete repertoire of our music.  His many years of varied experience is typical of the other members of the White Lies Band and helps create the quality country music enjoyed by all.
